It very well could have been us ….. Let’s help out our neighbors in the Hill Country and in the places many of us go for a quick vacation or have been to summer camp. Not only providing needed donations but also gifts and cards to make the residents smile … just for a moment … in the midst of their pain and grief. Imagine you’ve just lost everything and opening up a gift bag or gift box from a stranger with beautiful soap, a gift card, a candle, dog chews, anything ….. Or a simple card to say ‘We are thinking of you’, ‘We are praying for you’, ‘We love you’, ‘We want to help’. Get your kids involved and have them write out a card and share some love. Retail stores do ‘Christmas in July’ sales …. Let’s send some ‘Christmas in July’ to people who need it the most. You also will be blessed when you are blessing others!
